Exam Nerves

Mind goes blank during an exam?
Find that you can’t think straight?

Have negative thoughts about failing your exam?

All of these things start with anxious thoughts.  A little bit of exam nerves is useful – it keeps us focused.  However, too much exam stress can lead to anxiety and that causes muddled thinking.  Hypnotherapy to resolve exam nerves is a proven tool to help you achieve your personal best.

Learning Anxiety

We cannot help but learn and we are all learning all of the time.  Yet for some people being in a learning situation, school, college, university or training, can be a stressful thing.  If you have dyslexia, dyscalculia, autism, Asperger’s or ADHD you may find the whole education process quite unbearable.

School Phobia/School Refusal

If you are a parent of a teenager with school refusal issues or a younger child, your responses need to be kind, objective and consistent.  I know from personal experience that being consistent is very hard as you experience every emotion from sympathy to anger and everything in between.  Being able to explore your feeling, identifying actions you can take and have clear boundaries for yourself and your child will really help you cope with the situation better.  When you cope better, so will your child.

Hypnotherapy can also be a useful tool for young adults (teenagers) who have school refusal or school phobia anxieties.

As a teacher and a hypnotherapist (a strange mix you may think) I see how many people are anxious in a learning situation.  Please be assured that all of the above contexts can be helped with patience, support and someone to talk to.
